MEDIA INVOLVEMENT
Although, throughout the years some of the mainstream media refuse to report the Cobain case properly due to Courtney Love's legal threats, this is to show that some very brave people believe that this case needs to be highlighed and told to the public. These interviews and shows below from my collection are some of the best reporting and tells that there is more to this story than we have ever known. As time goes on and Grant continues his fight to reopen this case, there will be more people who will feel that it is important to publicize the facts.
The Allan Handleman Show 1/1995

The very first show that didn't have a retraction!
Allan Handleman's nationally syndicated radio talk show was the first to ignore Courtney's attorney's legal threats. He studied the case and decided that there were things needing to be heard. Allan did interviews with Tom on more than ten occassions!! The response from his program and the requests for more information and appreciation of covering this case has been overwhelming. This interview includes the basic outline of Grant's website and touches on some questionable acts from the Seattle Police Dept. as well as references to Courntey's legal threats.
Thanks Allan!
CKDU FM Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada 2/1996

One of Tom's many early interviews on 95 FM University Co-op College radio in a three part series. Also present in the studio; Roger Lewis (of 'Dead Men Dont Pull Triggers') and Lori Clairmont. An hour and a half of material, music, and listener calls. Reviews Grant's beggining outlines with more indepth information as we know of today, excerpts of the Allan Handleman show and collection of Nirvana songs, which includes a rendition of a Kiss tune, "Do You Love Me?", a rare split single version of "Oh The Guilt"  and an original 1988 Sub Pop version of "Love Buzz"- also Hole's alternate Jabberjaw compilation version of "Rock Star", rare version of the white vinyl 12 ,EP side B release "Burn Black" and rare unreleased live version of "Turpentine"

Unsolved Mysteries 2/7/1997
Since Grant began speaking out about Kurt's death two years before, the producers of Unsolved Mysteries decided to contact Grant in December of 1996 and do a segment which would be aired on February 7th, 1997. The show did an excellent job of introducing this case to the public. Although this first network coverage was limited in scope, issues included:

1. The official claim that the police approached this case as a possible homicide.
2. The acitivity on Kurt's credit card after he died.
3. No legible finger prints on the gun
4. Questionable handwriting at the bottom of the note.
5. Toxicology report of Kurt's heroin level of 1.52 mgs per liter.

103.1 FM The Buzz 4/8/1997 INTERVIEW
David Perle's website, now called "Antagonising the Murder Theory"
was recognized by his local alternative radio station, 103.1 The BUZZ, West Palm Beach, FL on their February 27th Buzz Surf Report. So here is the opening for the Tom Grant interview, as was broadcast several times that day:

2/27/96
"A while back The BUZZ brought to your attention a web site created and updated by Investigator Tom Grant who suggests that Kurt Cobain, formerly of Nirvana, did not commit suicide and that his widow, Courtney Love of Hole, was somehow linked to the death. Since then, a BUZZ listener has created his own web site disputing Investigator Tom Grant's words and defending Courtney Love. Courtney Love herself, out of sheer frustration by the allegations made by Investigator Tom Grant and the fact that The Buzz drew attention to him, has since responded by way of e-mail which is now posted on the newly created web site with her permission. Indirectly,The BUZZ pushed Courtney Love's buttons - you gotta love it. Don't miss what's happening on either end - connect with both the Kurt Cobain Investigation and ANTI-Kurt Cobain Investigation web sites by way of the Cool BUZZ Links section of the BUZZ web site."

4/8/97
This interview with Grant reviews updated material and points out some still puzzling questions; the illegible finger prints on the gun, the so-called 'suicide note', and the missing credit card as well as Dylan's role and Courtney's suspicious involvement during the times in Rome and through to after Kurt's death. Music includes Nirvana's "Smell's Like Teen Spirit" and "jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam". Also includes calls from listeners.

*David Perle now believes Tom Grant and the suspicions of Kurt's death of being a possible murder.

Nick Broomfield's- "Kurt and Courtney" 1998

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE FILM "KURT AND COURTNEY"
1. A fascinating interview with Courtney's old boyfriend who claims Courtney destroyed his career.
2. An evasive interview with Dylan Carlson, Kurt's best friend.
3. A pathetic interview with Courtney's biological father, Hank Harrison, who says he believes Cobain was murdered.
4. A frightfully revealing interview with one of Cobain's former nanny's who speaks about Courtney's control over Kurt and her obsession with Kurt's will in the weeks prior to his death.
5. Several interviews with Grant. You be the judge.

Freedom of speech is what this film was really all about. Broomfield has succeeded in exposing the cowardice and hypocrisy of Courtney Love and A.C.L.U. President, Danny Goldberg. The film audience is allowed to watch as concealed cameras record Broomfield being physically removed from the stage by Goldberg himself.

Ian Halperin and Max Wallace "Who Killed Kurt Cobain?" 4/1998
A must read! This is a book about the suspicion, implication and possibility of murder. Very well written, objective and ballanced. The writers intent is, simply, to get the case reopened. For fans of pop music and murder mysteries alike, one that soberly lays out the case for thinking this pop icon's death may not be an open-and-shut case
